Snow covered the town of Breda, turning rooftops, cars, and streets all white. Christmas lights shined through frosty windows, making the town look beautiful. But inside the homes, people were worried. For a week, strange things had been happening. Every night, there was a report of a burglary in the neighborhood. At first, people didn’t take it seriously. But when Mrs. Maaike’s jewelry went missing and little Timmy’s new bike disappeared from the garage, everyone knew it was serious. People started locking their doors and checking their windows, but the thief left no clues. Even the police couldn’t figure it out. Some thought it was a clever thief. With Christmas approaching, the town wasn’t feeling joyful anymore. The people of Breda decided they had enough. They gathered for a town meeting and agreed to find a way to stop the burglaries before Christmas. Everyone shared ideas and started taking action. Some families installed security cameras, while others put up motion-sensor lights outside their homes. One night, Mr. de Vries looked at his security camera footage. To his surprise, it showed someone sneaked into his house, moved silently, without triggering the alarm, as if the person knew where all the cameras were. The footage didn’t show anything clear, everything was blurry The news of the strange footage spread fast. Some people became scared, thinking it was ghosts or something supernatural. But others, like Timmy and his friend Jenny, were more curious than afraid. Then, one midnight, the two friends saw something strange outside. A man in a red suit appeared. Timmy whispered to Jenny, “You were right.” Jenny took a picture. The flash of the camera made the man jump. He quickly turned around, eyes wide. “Who’s there?” he shouted. Jenny stood up, nervous and courageous at the same time “Why are you stealing? You’re supposed to give, not take!” The man stepped into the light and laughed. “It’s just a prank, everyone. Santa Claus was having some fun with you all.” In the end, the mystery was solved. It had all been a joke, something that reminded the town of the true spirit of Christmas: the joy of giving and the laughter shared together. Breda could now celebrate Christmas with happiness, knowing that even the strangest events could bring people closer. Hereby, Gowtham
